MORAL VALUES AND IMPACT TO ME AS 21ST CENTURY LEARNER OF "SINIGANG" BY AUDREY VILLEACERAN








Forgiveness can also lead to feelings of empathy, compassion, and understanding for the person who has wronged you. Forgiveness does not imply forgetting or excusing the hurt you have suffered, nor does it imply making amends with the person who caused it. Forgiveness offers a sense of calm that allows you to move on with your life. It is the moral value that the short story, "Sinigang" by Aubrey Villaceran conveyed, forgiveness. 

Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness.

The moral values I learned in the short "Sinigang" by Aubrey Villaceran were that a strong bond between family is important and that even if someone does sin on you, you always find a way to forgive them because you love them. I believe that the only people who will always be with you in hard times and downs are your family. Even if there's a problem and you're not on good terms, they will always help you, they will make you stand and be strong. So that forgiveness is always between you and your family. It will not fade, it will be shaded by hate and sins, but love will take it all away.

The impact of it on me as a 21st Century learner was to give the realization that forgiveness will give you peace and to love my family even more. It also shows the six basic elements of a short story that give me increasing knowledge about literature. The six basic elements are Setting, Character, Point of view, Conflict, Plot, and Theme, it is important because it represents the distinction between an explanation and an interpretation of the meanings that the author wishes to convey to the reader.
