Forgiveness does not imply forgetting or excusing the hurt you have suffered, nor does it imply making amends with the person who caused it. Forgiveness offers a sense of calm that allows you to move on with your life. It is the moral value that the short story, "Sinigang" by Aubrey Villaceran conveyed, forgiveness. Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness.
